  • Support for our Nation's Service members

In 2012, IUPAT started the Painters and Allied Trades Veterans Program (PAT-VP) to connect both active and inactive service members to a career and the necessary training to be successful. Anyone who possesses a “DD214” or Military Separation documentation may go to our Apprenticeship offices to apply for job openings, complete applications, take aptitude tests, and conduct interviews. PAT-VP is only one of the programs available to our nation’s service members seeking employment opportunities.

  • Support for our First Nations

IUPAT DC5 respects the Sovereign Rights held by our First Nations partners in the continental U.S. In the Pacific Northwest, IUPAT DC5 assisted in creating the Labor, State, and Tribal Apprenticeship Subcommittee to advise the State Apprenticeship Council and the State Department of Transportation. We continuously work to connect Tribal Nations, government, and contractors to create sustainable economic and employment opportunities for all indigenous communities.
